Our Environment
Environment
At Second Pres we nurture each child's growth by providing a warm, safe and predictable environment where our students feel secure, emotionally regulated and ready to learn. With a focus on gentle guidance and positive reinforcement our educators foster a classroom culture that celebrates individual differences and encourages kind and respectful interactions among all students. Our classroom environments are designed to minimize overstimulation and provide a balanced rhythm of engaging activities and cozy spaces, which allow children to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
Our school environment supports learning by being welcoming, content-rich, and reflective of children's interests, fostering exploration, creativity and a sense of belonging. We design and arrange our physical spaces to be an active participant in each child's learning journey, using our environment as the "third teacher". This approach involves creating flexible, responsive and stimulating spaces with open-ended materials and natural light to encourage investigation, collaboration, play and a deep connection to the learning process. Our daily provocations spark curiosity and wonder, helping to shape children's learning experiences and laying the foundation for future success.
