Second Presbyterian Weekday School is a ministry of Second Presbyterian Church dedicated to the sanctity of childhood, igniting a lifelong love of learning, and committed to preserving the magic of childhood while building the foundation of skills necessary to be successful learners. Our Position
Second Presbyterian Weekday School is seeking a full-time Director who is passionate about early childhood education and who believes in our mission of providing the best and most trusted education to the families we serve. The Director of the Weekday School is a member of the Church Staff. We are looking for an individual who:
- Has a minimum of one year’s experience in school administration.
- Knowledge of Kentucky licensing rules and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Child Development, Education, Educational Leadership & Administration, or related field.
- Must be highly organized, efficient, and possess excellent customer relationship management skills.
- Must have the ability to train, coach, delegate, and manage school staff and faculty effectively.
- Proficient with Google Suite programs and ability to learn other programs quickly.
- Ability to promote and market the school via social media and community outreach and to sustain consistent enrollment and family retention.
- Strong written and verbal skills for effective parent and staff communication.
- Energetic, flexible, and ability to multitask.
- Embodies a strong Christian faith and has the ability to work collaboratively with church staff and committees to promote the Weekday School as a ministry of Second Presbyterian Church.
- Ability to think creatively and vision cast for the school’s continual development.
- Work collaboratively with staff, faculty, Board members, church members, and other individuals in the school’s community.
- Has a progressive educational philosophy and an understanding of the Reggio Approach to early childhood learning.
